THIS CHEVROLET CORVETTE ROADSTER
This is a beautiful and rare 1960 Corvette with the high horsepower 283/290 Fuel Injected motor. Of the 10,261 Corvettes built in 1960, only 759 came with this motor, and only 635 came in Turquoise. No one knows how many of the high HP fuelies came in Turquoise, but there could not have been very many.
The car has its number-matching engine with correct 3756519 casting number and correct “F 2 0” casting date and is believed to be the original engine. It also retains the correct 1091 7017370 fuel injection unit. The FI unit was professional rebuilt and restored in 2012 at a cost of $7,000, with receipts for this work included. The car has matching hardtop and white convertible top. It also has new carpeting, a new battery, and the tach is freshly rebuilt.
The car was awarded Second-Flite in 2001, and the judging sheets are in the binder of documentation that comes with the car. Options include white wall tires, hardtop, two- tone paint and 4-speed transmission. This car is a real head-turner where it goes.
